Every so often there comes a new wave of young and talented menswear designers who shake up the status quo and put out clothes that you can wear on the daily - to work, the bar, a big night out. Currently, on our radar are three buzzy labels including Ayushman Mitra's Bobo Calcutta, Ajay Kumar and Asa Kazingmei, all of whom just showcased their Spring Summer 19 collections at Lakme Fashion Week. Each carries a distinctive aesthetic and is upping the ante on cool menswear in India.

It used to be that women were colour-crazy and men only wore colourful ties. But today, menswear's limitless appetite for bright hues has blown that theory out of the water, and no one's cashing in on the trend better than this mustachioed designer from Bengaluru. He blends digital prints, mis-matched stripes and large floral embellished accessories in a way that brings on a happy, trippy acid flashback.
